Best Christmas gift ever is Danni (our furniture-maker) delivering our hall furniture 2 days before Christmas. It was perfect timing for the Christmas Eve dinner we were hosting! Danni arrived on the afternoon of December 23, but had to return the morning of the 24th because “assembly” took longer than expected. Read on and you will see why!Read More
Sorry I know this is quite delayed, since we’ve been so preoccupied with all the holiday celebrations. Anyway after the first leg, we got a text that there was going to be a “pep rally” at 2:30 pm the afternoon of the game at the Sultan Hotel. This was perfect for us, because we wanted to convoy with the team or go with the other supporters so that we weren’t an island in a sea of red like the first game!Read More
We hope everyone is enjoying the holidays! Safe partying for New Year’s Eve and cheers to another wonderful year!!!Read More
After my first EVER promo giveaway for readers in the US and Canada, many of my friends from the Philippines were saying they wished it was open to folks back home in Manila.
Finally I’ve a promo for peeps in the Philippines thanks to the amazing people from QUIRKS Novelties & Curiosities! Weeeeeee!
You know how much I love quirks and novelty items – not only for my home (Just like my TeaCupCakes and Tipsy Toes Re-freezable Ice!) but to give out as gifts as well! So this Christmas I am giving away something from QUIRKS Novelties & Curiosities to one lucky reader!
QUIRKS Novelties & Curiosities is one of my favorite stores in Manila. In fact I make sure to drop by their store whenever I am home! Here are some items I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to find underneath the Christmas tree! =)

Video highlights of the 2nd game of Philippines vs Indonesia in the Suzuki Cup Semi-finals after the jump.Read More
Indonesians living and working in Malaysia are concerned they may not be able to spectate at the Asean Football Federation Cup final first leg on Dec. 26 because the host nation may reserve the vast majority of its tickets for Malaysians.
…I will write about my long but wonderful day yesterday – the pre-game ”pep rally,” going into the stadium, watching it and the sad but proud defeat. It was bittersweet, because not all of the experiences were positive. But it was nonetheless the experience of a lifetime – because we were at the right time, right place and pinoys are the nicest people!
Today I’m going to rest. I am exhausted from all the excitement and my brain doesn’t wanna work. And I am slightly sad too – it’s the natural crash after such a wonderful high of the Philippine vs Indonesia Suzuki Cup Semi-finals.
Just want to say, have a safe trip home National Football Team of the Philippines and their contingent! And thanks Azkals for the signed Jersey and the nice messages on my photo album of our lunch!Read More
To show our support, the embassy hosted a lunch for the Azkals with the Filipino community. Mongolian food and other Pinoy party staples were served, like pancit, bbq and lumpia. The team arrived to a rousing welcome, and they were so gracious in allowing everyone to take pictures with them. They barely got to eat their lunch with all the picture taking! =P
MANY more photos after the jump!Read More
Thanks to Christ Greatwich for for sharing this video! Can’t wait for the game tomorrow! I’m sure you guys are gonna do even better! Don’t let all the noise get to you! The Azkals are AWESOME.
We watched the game live at the Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta! And what an experience! It was my 2nd time to watch a football game in that stadium, and the first time we said we should see a game when the Indonesian team is playing – just for the experience! (They take football very seriously here – it’s like an Ateneo La Salle game twentyfold – or maybe fiftyfold!) At that time, we were not thinking about the Philippines getting into the Semi-finals of the Suzuki Cup yet. Little did we know that they would and our first time to watch a game with Indonesia is against the Philippines!Read More
