Football Hotties – Philippine Edition

To celebrate yesterday’s stunning win against Vietnam AND to promote interest in Philippine football to the ladies, I’m doing a Football Hotties – Philippine edition (remember some of the ones I did before? Football Hotties – Spanish Edition and Football Hotties in general – aside from the many others =p)

* Sidenote: I definitely think we should focus more on football than basketball. Yesterday’s small win just shows you that if we only focus our attention and training of kids in football instead, then the Philippines has a chance to shine, even in the international stage. Many of the players in the team are Filipinos who grew up in other countries wherein the interest and training lay in football. Just take a look at the results! We have a long way to go, but I hope this is a start!

This one is a recent addition, Team Captain Ali Borromeo! (Thanks to my friend for suggesting it!) He definitely has that bad boy looks/appeal! (Don’t get me wrong, he is super nice!)

Midfielder, Mark Drinkuth is a very young member of the RP team at only 18 years:

Okay maybe I'd describe him more as boyishly cute, instead of hot, but hey he's only 18 years old so he'll probably grown into a hottie soon enough!

And last but definitely not the least is my favorite, Anton del Rosario. (Yes I am biased because I personally know him and he is as nice as he is HAWT) I couldn’t find a nice public picture of his face so this will have to do, until I get his permission to use a photo that does him justice.

  Thanks for your comment. I have to say that 1:0 is NOT a landslide victory. That goal was hard earned by the Indonesians.
  
  I wish that the refs were better in calling some atrocious fouls/handballs on your side too. I wouldn’t feel very good if our team won because of some unfair advantages though (i.e. 2 home games, no ticket allocation for the Philippine team, etc) and there were many. But the Azkals fought a good fight and we are so PROUD at how far they’ve come despite the lack of financial support, fan base before this suzuki cup and even no infrastructure/stadium. They did an AMAZING job despite all the odds!

I do not know why girls aren’t all over Anton del Rosario! He’s even hotter than the Younghusband brothers combined. He he ) And, that’s even with that black eye he got from the game vs. Indonesia! More of him and his awesome superhuman throw-in please!

great post! would love to read more of your posts. but do you intentionally hide your identity? with the disconcerting blurring of your face in most of the photos?

  Thanks Jayson. Yes there are definitely security issues being a diplomat/diplo wife in a new country every few years. Oh and sometimes not all my reviews or experiences are positive (not all blog posts can be positive or I lose credibility all together) and unfortunately there are people out there who cannot take any criticism or take it personally as an attack to their entire country =( so sometimes I do get hate comments, etc. So I’ve to protect myself against that too.
