DIPLO HOME ♖ Umbra Conceal Grande Invisible Bookshelf
The invisible bookshelf in the kitchen is finally up! Yay! And the effect is exactly as I hoped. Despite buying it together, TD was still baffled when he saw it. Mission accomplished. Haha!

I remember getting some good feedback from friends who agreed with me that invisible floating shelving was a neat idea. I was weighing these 2 options from Umbra which carry a good amount of books…
(screen caps of my Pinterest)
Because the second option was actually smaller than pictured, and probably couldn’t hold some of my heavier cookbooks, I opted for the first option, the Umba Conceal Grande.
- Winner of the Umbra-Pratt Design Competition
- Floats large books
- 20 lb (9 kg) max load
- 10″ (25.4 cm) max book depth
- Recommend directly screwing into stud
- Hardware Included
Check out the drawer space I freed up! It’s also easier to spot all my recipe books on the floating shelves than digging it out of a drawer.
I have another Conceal Grande for the study. We placed between our workstations so we can place books we regularly refer to. Okay who am I kidding… the books I regularly refer to! Hehehe! Will post pics as soon as I have it up! Stay tuned!

- I purchased this product in ACE Gandaria. Also available in Aksara (for almost twice the price I think) Jakarta.
- Umbra products are available in specialty stores in Manila. The most Umbra products I’ve seen in one store is in SM Our Home Megamall in Manila.

Love your shelf too, Diplowife!
