With the amount of traveling we’ve done (too much if you ask me!) I have given up on scrapbooking. I’ll just be happy to have all my little bits of paper, information or calling cards in an easy to find location when I need to refer to them for blog posts. Once I have the [read more]

We booked our trip to Myanmar about a year ahead. There was an Air Asia promo and we went for it! Of course we also had to keep our eyes out for promo tickets to and from KL since there is not direct flight from Jakarta. Before our trip I was lucky enough to meet [read more]
We were invited to a reception on the US warship, USS ESSEX after the big meeting, which Obama attended in Bali last November 2011. I’ve been in a party in a Spanish ship docked in Manila Bay before, but never on warship. How exciting! I was so excited that I forgot to asked if it [read more]
Remember the this party we attended? One thing that made the party so much fun was the photobooth. This is also very popular for weddings in the Philippines, however slightly different in concept. In the Philippines there is usually a booth that takes 4 consecutive photos and you can change props between each shot (you only have [read more]
Last week we were invited by the lovely Claudia and Oscar to their beautiful Black and White Farewell Party. It was intimate yet well thought out by her event coordinator, which was perfect because moving countries can be quite chaotic. Everything went perfectly.
After discovering Awfully Chocolate in Singapore (or more specifically Awfully Chocolate Hēi ice Cream) we kept on checking the Senopati, Jakarta branch if they served it. They used to only serve the cakes and chocolate, but now after their beautiful renovation they finally have our favorite hēi ice cream! Wooohooo!
Our friend Phoebes organized a Pinoy get together for Swine Sunday at the chic Otel Lobby last Sunday. For those of you who don’t know, pork is a prized thing for us Pinoys in Jakarta because it’s hard to find good pork. Even the bacon and ham they have in the supermarket is not the [read more]
If you find yourself in Bali Collection and you are looking for a place for beers or a place with a band, you can check out Pica Tapas Bar. It’s a lively place that serves seafood and grilled meats. Our favorite resto in Manila used to be Pepato, owned by caterer/restaurateur Margarita Fores. So we were ecstatic to hear that she has a restaurant in Greenbelt 5 called Lusso. And the perfect opportunity to try Lusso out came when I met up with my former schoolmate and fellow blogger Deepa of Currystrumpet.com over the [read more]

For Christmas BDB (Big Diplo Bro) gave us these His and Hers Penhaligon’s Toiletry Cases. The leather is so luxuriously soft and the cutest thing about them are the zipper pulls – which are in the shape of the famous Penhaligon’s Perfume Bottle!
The main ingredient of the Suka Pinakurat is fermented coconut sap locally known as tuba and bird’s eye chilies “labuyo” that are harvested from the wild mountains of Iligan. These key ingredients are organically grown, with the chilies being farmed by mother nature.
Another reason to visit CDO (Cagayan do Oro) is to ride the longest zipline in Asia at Dahilayan Adventure Park which is a whopping 840 meters long. Dahilayan is in Bukidnon, and it takes only 1 hour to get there by car from CDO.
