The Diplomatic Wife Blog 2013

the diplomatic wife 2013

Before the year ends, I just want to say how thankful I am for another year of blogging! How amazing is it that the blog has survived yet another year? Blogging has saved my sanity many times since I embarked on this nomadic life. It’s been my way to connect with other people even in the loneliest and darkest times.

I am also so thankful that with the help of so many people I have finally come up with a blog that looks the way I want it to – luscious, luxe with pops of sea green and a little gold bling! After a few years of trying to do it on my own with some cheap themes I decided to reach out an ask for help from Martine and Sara. All those friends who gave me referrals, feedback and advice – you know who you are – thank you so much!

Blog Numbers

So much has happened since my very first post in March 2010 to 29 December 2013…

  • I’ve written 999 Blog posts, of which only 815 have been published.
  • All time total views: 779,348
  • When I wrote this post I had the most number of views in one day: 4,732
  • The month with highest views of 33,232 was September 2013
  • These are the top 5 posts of all time: 1 2 3 4 5
  • The most popular post or #1 above has had since July 2010: 42,450 views

I find it funny that my top 5 posts are so eclectic. The subjects are footballstyle findscurrent events and tv. How cool is that?

I want to thank Kaho of Chuzai LivingDeepa of Curry StrumpetWander Woman, Emilie and Didi Paterno for being my 5 most active commenters of 2013. Click on the picture below to see my 2013 Annual Report!

The Diplomatic Wife Blog 2013 Annual Report

To  super bloggers, I am sure my numbers are tiny, but to me they are more than I ever expected them to be. I am so thankful that I’ve made it this far. When I started blogging I could never have imagine keeping it up for this long. Blogging is not as easy as I expected it to be, because coming up with good quality posts, with great photos takes a lot of time and effort. I hope I can continue doing this despite the many life changes in diplo life!

Thanks so much to all you readers who have continued to follow along! Cheers to 2014!

Awesome stats! How I wish my readers were as many. But I am glad that blogging has also given you a way to share great things about life as a trailing spouse as it does for me. I look forward to more of your posts in many more new years to come!
