Our first experience of breakfast in Berlin was a memorable one. We headed down from our room at the Concorde Hotel to the buffet breakfast area and I loved not only the food but also the simple yet sophisticated interiors.
Once you give your name and room number you are free to pick any available table. It’s nice to sit by the window with a view and lots of sunlight.
When you are seated, the waiter asks you if you would like to have coffee or tea. There are many coffee and tea options. We usually got a cappuccino or latte. How adorns are these sugars?
The bar is well stocked with delicious water (yes it is indeed delicious tasting), juices, and even Sparkling wine. I would have loved to make myself a Bellini but I don’t think it would have made for a productive day haha.
I was impressed by the variety of options available. I’ve never seen so many kinds of bread, cereal, jam/marmalade and honey in my life.
For cereal my favourite was to mix the corn flakes with some dried fruits (figs, plums and bananas) with nuts. YUM.
If you are craving for fried breakfast food, they also have it. In the counter for the sausages, bacon and potatoes, you can also order crepes. I think this was TD’s favourite counter.
I personally loved the cheese and cold cuts counter.
The two kinds of smoked salmon were to-die-for!
Then of course there are also fruits.
I really enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet at Concorde Hotel and I felt really lucky that we were able to enjoy something so wonderful for a few days. So if you are thinking of staying at the Concorde Hotel, rest assured that the room comes with a lovely breakfast to start your days.
