DIPLO DINING ♨ Serving Spoon Rest and Ladle Stand

DIPLO DINING ♨ Serving Spoon Rest and Ladle Stand

One of the things I noticed in the recent dinner party we hosted was that I didn’t know where to place the serving spoons while the lids on the different dishes were on (to keep them warm). I remembered the super cute serving spoon rest that my best friend had for her rice paddle or rice scoop. What a practical idea! The serving spoon rest kept food off the table, while allowing her  to keep the rice covered so that it stays nice & piping hot (best way to have rice!).

DIPLO DINING ♨ Fred and Friends Half-Pint Creamer

DIPLO DINING ♨ Fred and Friends Half-Pint Creamer

I am obsessed with all things Fred & Friends. And I’ve eyed this Fred and Friends Half-Pint Creamer for a couple of years now. I told myself many reasons not to buy it (it’s too expensive, it’s so easily breakable, etc.) but after years of hearing me pine after this little baby, TD finally bought me one when it was on sale at Debenhams Senayan City! Woohoo!

DIPLO DINING ♨ Post-birthday Foodie Get-together

DIPLO DINING ♨ Post-birthday Foodie Get-together

Finally got the schedule of some friends from different countries together! I don’t normally throw birthday parties anymore (unlike the wild bashes I threw when I was younger). A party I would entail preparing for a couple of days and cooking an entire day and I didn’t want to get stressed out on my birthday week. I just wanted to treat myself to a chillax time at home. I thought, “why not host a potluck party to introduce our favorite friends from different countries to each other?” We thought it would be fun to ask guests to bring dishes from their countries of origin and they all agreed! It would be a good ice breaker as well.

DIPLO DIY ❃ Wine Glass Cozies

DIPLO DIY ❃ Wine Glass Cozies

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post (my first post in almost 2 weeks!) I kept busy while I was sick in bed and couldn’t access my blog, by crocheting. I know it’s so lola (grandma) but I have an entire box of thread left over from maybe a decade ago (If I recall correctly, it is from my friendship bracelet and hair wrapping phase in college). Yes it’s still alive and in good quality since I am a master pack rat – LOL!

TRAVEL DIARIES ✈ Shopping for beautiful ceramics at Jenggala Bali

TRAVEL DIARIES ✈ Shopping for beautiful ceramics at Jenggala Bali

I’ve been interested in Jenggala ceramics since my first visit to Bali, wherein my husband and I visited their outlet store in Jl. Sunset. Then I found them too expensive because the crazy cheap shopping in Manila was still fresh in my mind. My interest was renewed when I read this post on Chuzai Living – I wanted the Jenggala milk carton creamer in white. I went to KOI Kemang and the Kemang branch of Jenggala Ceramics. They didn’t have it in white (they did have it in cow print) and the prices were expensive (It’s cheaper in the Uluwatu factory for sure). So last week in Bali I went to their factory and showroom in Uluwatu. It was worth the trip! Pictures of Jenggala Ceramics after the jump!
