Did you know that the famous KARE Design - uber stylish home decor and furniture – is in Jakarta? It’s my favorite place to search for clocks (their clocks are cheaper than ACE hardware clocks AND more stylish!) and other statement/accent pieces for the home. I find that KARE is better value for money than Informa or Index because all the items are designed and styled to catch attention. (This is not where to go for basics!) You guys are in for photo blog treat! I took pictures of everything that caught my eye.

To excite you about the upcoming INACRAFT FAIR 2012, I’m writing about my finds at the INACRAFT FAIR 2011 which is the most massive fair in Jakarta I’ve ever attended – even more massive than anything I’ve seen in the Philippines even! One of the things that I miss in Manila is buying super fragrant Bath & Body Works products at reasonable prices. And the thing that I noticed is that the commercial brand of liquid hand soaps to be found in the supermarket have an extra strong fragrance – so strong that it smells artificial! Believe it or not for the past 3 years I’ve used the complimentary hotel toiletries (namely the liquid bath soap and shampoos) as our liquid soap in our bathroom, guest bathroom & the kitchen.
