SANUR TRAVEL DIARIES ✈ Cafe Batu Jimbar
Another favorite breakfast place in Bali is also in Sanur. This was the last place we at in during our Sanur trip and boy what a way to cap off our trip! Everything we ordered was just heavenly! The ambiance was also truly inspiring. It was so nice to have a seat al fresco amidst the greenery and all the lovely textures, and just watch Sanur go by. I wanted the moment to last forever. Too bad we had to catch a flight right after. Enjoy the photoblog after the jump!

We had some pancetta that needed cooking so I was looking for a recipe on Jamie Oliver’s 15 Minute Meals Recipe Book. He has an amazing recipe for an exotic pancake with maple glazed pancetta, but I didn’t have all the ingredients so I decided to go with the Old Fashioned Oatmeal Pancake recipe I already had, and top it with maple-glazed pancetta! The prospect excited me (we usually have Pukkolla for breakfast almost everyday) ! So I soaked the oatmeal in milk overnight. Super simple recipe after the jump!

So we enjoyed our breakfasts and it was a welcome change from all the hotel buffet breakfasts we’ve had.

The verdict and pictures of the food and interiors after the jump.

I’ve tried Jamie Oliver’s recipe for Pukkolla and it’s great if 1) you’ve sweet berries available 2) you have enough time to do the grating (apples) and mashing (the bananas are SO much better mashed than sliced). See image below.
