I have a new favorite brunch in Jakarta. It’s in my favorite Japanese Restaurant in town, Sekitei. Aside from the immense pleasure I get passing through the tree-line streets of Kebayoran Baru and going through the beautiful Dharmawangsa Hotel and Bimensena Club, high quality fresh Japanese food for Saturday brunch is just fabulous.

For those looking for a posh place to brunch on weekends, I recommend you check out the Museum Cafe, better known as M Cafe, at Greenbelt 4 in Makati. The setting is just so chic and elegant and there is a great and diverse selection of food – something for everyone’s palate! TRAVEL DIARIES ✈ DAY 2 Meals at Marriott Cafe
Wasn’t day 1 in Medan eventful? The JW Marriott Medan’s complimentary buffet breakfast is usually served at the MARRIOTT CAFE in the ground floor. On Day 2 of our trip we had our first breakfast there and also a quick light lunch after our intense table tennis (ping-pong) session. OMG, I want to have dinner at Millennium tonight! Last few day for the pinoy food festival! (It ends on the 26th) Anyone wanna go with me? I want the bistek tagalog, quail egg salad, manggo and shrimp paste, adobo lumpia and buko pandan. I’ll settle for tomorrow’s Bulalo! I loved it during the opening launch. Happy weekend everyone! It’s a very busy weekend for us. Brunch at Koi (again), shopping, Jakarta Kulinary festival, then tennis and dinner tonight with some wedding gift wrapping (hands don’t fail me now!) – just for today! And tomorrow we are attending a wedding for the very first time. It’s going to be the second Muslim wedding ceremony I’ve ever attended (the first when I was like 10 years old) so I am excited to see their customs and traditions here. We’ve been asked to come in our national dress so that’s a production in itself!
