I’ve always been intrigued by this cluster of shops in Kemang, just around the bend on Kemang Selatan. But I always forget to go there on my way to Cayenne, coming from KOI. But last week I finally got to explore the shops in this attention grabbing building and found a great shop called Roamah Roepa, with some of my favorite local brands!Read More
I thought I had already posted on my beloved DIY photowall, but apparently it got buried in my massive amount of photos. I realized that I didn’t have a lot of photos in my home and as part of my Happiness Project, I decided to do a photowall projects. Sorry guys this is a long overdue post. Last year was our first time we spend Christmas in Jakarta and I had to buy more decor for the Christmas dinner we were hosting. From my earlier posts, you can tell I love gold so to keep with the theme of my home (white, natural wood with gold and capiz accents) I decided it would be a GOLD Christmas in our DiploHome – or until I change my mind anyway. =P So this year I only had to make a few improvements on last year’s decor. I’ve been a bit worried about my living area because I noticed that all the elements are rectangular or square. One thing I learned from my interior designers K+M while decorating our flat in Manila is that I can’t have too many square/rectangular elements in an area. I have to balance it out with round elements. Click here to see how we balanced out our Manila dining room (which was full of straight lines) with a round capiz drop lamp.
I love, love, love Chic Mart. I discovered it because I was looking for a bamboo ladder (to use for placing extra towels in our bathrooms) and our friends had the exact one I was looking for. They said they got it in Chic Mart ….and voila! I got my ladders! At super great prices by the way.Read More
