Ah… this is the life!
As part of my To-Do list in Phuket, I wanted to get a Thai massage by the beach. The thai are well known for this and there’s cheap place in Manila that offers Thai massaige (Ton-ton’s I lurv you!). I definitely wanted to experience the real deal! More pictures and details on my spa experience after the jump!

They had several swings under pine trees all over the resort. We tried looking for one to enjoy the sunset in but everyone had the same idea - all of the beach front ones were taken! It would have been perfect with the lovely sea breeze.

After getting settled in our room and resting for a bit, we wandered around the resort, checking out the amenities and enjoying the sunset. I got to take some amazing photos!

All my friends know that my favorite color is white (technically it’s a non-color) paired with beige and neutrals. I love how serene and relaxed these colors make me feel. As you can see this room is heaven for me.

Lovely flower bracelets made with Sampaguita & orchid. Smelled soooo good! I wonder why we in the Philippines don't use the Sampaguita more, when it is actually native to us?
Upon arrival at the airport we were happy to find a kiosk for tourists giving out a map of Phuket, brochures and a free Thai SIM card. ) Yup, they were giving free True Move SIMs at the airport – so convenient!

Read MoreThe intense Kecak Dance in Uluwatu Temple
I wanted to see the monkey forest of Uluwatu Temple because of a beautiful shot of a monkey perched on top of a post, with the cliff and beautiful blue sea as its backdrop. So it was part of our itinerary on our second trip to Bali.

I had a pretty unpleasant experience last night. I was going to surprise my husband with a birthday cake at Awfully Chocolate’s newest global branch in VivoCity, Singapore. I totally regretted choosing this particular branch (I guess “newest” and “global branch” don’t necessarily mean it’s the best). Walking around the mall was an absolute nightmare. And for some reason people didn’t look where they were going! It’s like playing dodgeball, trying avoid these people who just ram into at you! How rude. No concept of staying in your “lane” (usually right in the Philippines or left in Indonesia) or just being conscious that there are other people around you. So anyway I told myself the next time I’d encounter someone not looking where he/she is going, I’d just stop and give them time to notice me and to veer away.
So we were on the way out when this ugly (in my mind she was), high-heeled, sequin-clad girl was talking to her friend while bearing down on me. I stopped and looked at her politely. The girl didn’t even pause, she hit the left side of my body full force and let out some bitchy remark. It sounded Chinese. I was pissed! SHE bumped me and she had the gall to be mad?!? “Watch it!” I shouted back (I should have come up with something more distasteful that would’ve clearly communicated that she was the one who wasn’t watching where she was going). And our friend told me that this was a normal occurrence here, and people don’t even bother saying excuse me or I’m sorry. It was so sad to hear, I hoped it was just the mall that we went to.
VivoCity was crowded, noisy and there were long lines for the restaurants. I was expecting something different because it was supposed to be the biggest mall in Sing. Big mistake. Any recommendations on which malls to hit next time I’m in Sing?

We were looking for something quick and dirty (not literally mind you) because after the dining, shopping and the transport cost we were feeling a little guilty. For us, Bali is not a cheap destination, if you compare it with Boracay and our other beach destinations in the Philippines.

After the Kecak Dance we went back to Jimbaran bay, but this time to the southern cluster on Jalan Four Seasons. We came prepared, with a resto recommended by E (who’s practically indonesian) and instructions to order everything grilled. Best decision ever.

Tired but happy with the sourcing and outlet shopping we’ve done for the day, we asked driver where we could eat in Jimbaran Bay. We had to cancel our plans to see the sunset at Tanah Lot. We, or rather I, finished outlet shopping at 4pm already and seeing the traffic on Jalan Ngurah Rai we would just have wasted our time because there was no way we were going to make it. And the driver said there is nothing to see there after sunset.
